Lily Face, 2026

Mixed media on a panel

The sculpture is neither a literal flower nor a portrait. Its overlapping forms recall a cluster of calla lilies, yet the blooms are intentionally left without centers. Their absence introduces a sense of incompleteness - like a memory that remains vivid around its edges while something essential at its core cannot be reached. From a distance, the petals also begin to suggest a face or a quiet human presence held within the composition.

This ambiguity reflects the nature of memory itself: familiar images return transformed by time, distance, and emotion. Lily Face holds both the warmth of a childhood afternoon and the grief of separation. What began as an embroidered flower in my grandmother’s hands has returned decades later in another material, another country, and an unfinished form.

Midnight Bloom, 2026

Mixed media sculpture

Black Orchid explores how scale can transform emotion. Expanded beyond its natural proportions, the orchid becomes less a flower than a sculptural presence - one that invites contemplation rather than observation. The work balances monumentality with delicacy, allowing botanical form to become a language for emotion rather than representation.

Private Collection: Silk Peony Bush for the Shlesinger Residence

Atlanta, GA  - 2024

Translucent petals bloom in shades of blush and white, delicate as memory yet monumental in presence. Created for a collector whose support marked a new chapter in my American journey, these flowers embody tenderness reborn at scale. They rise like whispers of hope, carrying both intimacy and grandeur - a vision of beauty that survived displacement and found new soil.
